The new legal framework for the open data.

On 15 april 2013, the council of the European Union adopted the revision of directive 2003/98/ec of re-use of public Sector information (Opens in new window) It remains just wait final approval by the european parliament of the legal text (Opens in new window) and its publication in the official journal of the european Union for the entry into force of the new regulation. After almost a year and a half after the issuance of the initial proposal by the european commission (Opens in new window) Europe has drawn up a new legal framework for the reuse of public Sector information, in line with technological developments since the adoption of the Directive 2003/98/ec original (Opens in new window) , and that in his introduction recognizes a value of the publication of data open not only economic but also social tractor as transparency and accountability to the public authorities.
