Signature of a collaboration agreement with Multicert, PSC portuguese

On 7 january, the ministry of finance and Public Administrations and the entity of certification of Portugal MULTICERT, services of Electronic Certification, S.A.han signed a partnership agreed for recognition of electronic identities.

On 7 january was signed on a collaboration agreement between the ministry of finance and Public Administrations and the entity of certification of Portugal MULTICERT, services of Electronic Certification, S.A. This agreement was ratified by María Ester Arizmendi Gutiérrez, as General director of Administrative Procedures, and encouraging the E-government and by dr. Jorge Oliveira da Fonseca Alcobia, acting on behalf of and for MULTICERT.

MULTICERT is a company providing services that renders electronic certificates recognized, accredited by the years - Autoridade national security of Portugal (role in our country plays the ministry of industry, energy and tourism). This entity is in the list of the TLS (Trust Service List).

As a prelude to this agreement is the agreement (and now in force) in 2008 between the then ministry of Public Administrations and the adaptability to Administrative Modernização of Portugal for the establishment of technical cooperation and the provision of validation of certificates issued by the authority of certification of Portugal. Under this convention as portuguese citizens with a certificate of national electronic identity card for its citizens called Lodge of Cidadão (equivalent to DNI english) can access all electronic services at the spanish AAPP using @firma platform.

By signing this convention is further enhanced the possibility of electronic delivery of cross-border services between the two countries.

In addition, and in accordance with the future european regulation of Electronic Identification and Confidence for electronic transactions in the internal market, which will replace the directive 1999/93/ec of Electronic Signature (of which is transposition law 59/2003 of spanish Electronic Signature), and will be directly applicable in all member states:

  • The platform @firma is a key element in the introduction of electronic identity in our country, as provided in the above-mentioned regulations.
     
  • Progress towards the binding nature of the recognition in horizontal services of validation of all certificates and signatures made with certificates of qualified suppliers included in the TLS (Trust Service List) of all member states.
