On 27 june 2002, the government of spain and the european commission organized the event "progress in the regulation of the IA". The event aims to launch the pilot project of spain for an enabling policy on Artificial Intelligence (IA) and will pass through online streaming website.
The day will be opened at the highest level by the european commissioner for The Internal Market, Thierry Breton, and the first vice president of the government of Spain, Nadia Calviño. The secretary of state of Digitization and IA of Spain, Carme Artigas, and the director general of DG Connect, Roberto Viola, submitted jointly by the Regulatory environment of Artificial Intelligence english and the european framework.
Artificial Intelligence is a priority for spain and Europe. The regulatory Policy Environment coordinated by Spain aims to create the conditions for a smooth implementation of future regulatory standards that apply in the field. The policy environment will provide proof of specific technical solutions and compliance procedures and, at the same time, support businesses and especially to smes to avoid uncertainties and unnecessary burdens.
It is hoped that the pilot project establishing an operational framework for all interested organizations and create synergies with other national initiatives. It encourages other States members of the Eu to join or to follow up similar initiatives with the aim of creating a pan-european system of Policy Environments of Artificial intelligence.
