Contents OURData 2023 (OECD)

Launched in 2015, the rate of open, useful and Reusable (OURdata, by its initials in english) compares the efforts of governments to design and implement national policies of open government data. With later editions published by 2017 and 2019, the rate has remained a valuable resource for policy makers and serves as a key indicator of public governance, which evaluates the progress that governments have made to ensure open data to support policy reform. The edition 2023 covers more than 670 indicators of data collected from 36 countries and 4 oecd accession countries over 2022.

THE Contents OURdata consists of three pillars and nine subpilares. The three main pillars are: data availability, accessibility of data and government support for the reuse of data. The Contents OURdata 2023 was compiled through the survey of oecd on Open Government Data by 2022. Due to changes in factors used for index subpilares, the results of the Contents OURdata 2023 cannot be directly compared with previous versions.

According to the study Spain took the fifth position in the area of open , only behind south korea, france, poland and Estonia.

Spain is in the group of “ leaders ” . These countries show a holistic approach of open access initiatives and, in general, to achieve good results in all aspects. In the specific case of Spain, highlights to promote the reuse of data, where there is in second place. It has been taken into account how since the government was aware companies and civil society on the opportunities offered by open public data, to participate in partnerships and joint creation events to encourage the reuse of data. It also stresses the availability of awareness-raising and training for officials in open publication of data, analysis and reuse, as well as its efforts to carry out impact assessments of open public data and the presentation of examples of reuse.

On the contrary, is situated in eleventh position in accessibility of data, although rising to the sixth if we speak of valuable information. Finally, spain is situated in the sixth position in the area of accessibility.
