Certification

The entities bound by the Royal Decree 1112/2018, of 7 september on accessibility of websites and applications for mobile devices in the public sector (Opens in new window) required accessibility revisions their web sites or applications for mobile devices in accordance with article 17 of the royal decree and respecting the constraints imposed for any revisions in-depth Implementation decision (EU) 2018/1524 (Opens in new window) , whose outcome should be reflected in a report containing a review of accessibility.

To carry out such checks of accessibility, agencies can choose between doing a self-assessment carried out by the agency of the public sector (with internal or external resources), or can certify compliance with accessibility requirements the royal decree 1112/2018 on their websites and applications for mobile devices by a certification whose expertise has been formally acknowledged by the national Accreditation (ENAC) agency or other national accord to regulation (EC) no. 765/2008 of the european parliament and of the council of 9 july 2008, by which sets conditions for accreditation and market surveillance relating to the marketing of products and repealing Regulation (EEC) no. 339/93.

In this context, the end of 2019 , 5 the document Criteria and process of accreditation for the accreditation of entities that evaluate the accessibility of websites and applications for mobile devices (Opens in new window) ”, developed in close collaboration with the secretariat-General for administration, currently belonging to the ministry of Digital Processing and for the civil service (MTDFP). Since then all those interested entities may initiate the process of accreditation to assess the accessibility of websites and applications for mobile devices.

The accessibility revisions made by an entity of inspection is accredited by ENAC presupondrán that meet all requirements set out in royal decree 1112/2018 and in the implementation decision (EU) 2018/1524 and enjoying the highest standards of quality.
