The aim of the awards Sharing & Reuse of the european commission is to raise awareness of the benefits of sharing and reuse of ict solutions in the public sector.
Sixty-eight solutions were submitted for the contest for public administrations of 27 countries. All eligible were assessed by the evaluation committee that, finally, selected 31 solutions (10 of them spanish) for the final round. The jury selected the sixteen best solutions (four per category) and the results were made public yesterday, 11 june, in the context of the Conference Sharing & Reuse 2019 that was held in bucharest and with a magnificent representation.
The prizes finally achieved by spain were:
- Consul second, under the heading of “ open source Software with the greatest impact on citizens or companies ”.
- Decidim second, under the heading of “ open source Software more innovative ”.
- @Firma platform third, in the category of “ open source Software with the greatest impact on citizens or companies ”.
- Brokering platform of Data fourth, in the category of “ shared Ict Services (shared or developed in common) with the greatest impact on citizens or companies ”.
- Tracker Observatory of Web accessibility fourth, in the category of “ open source Software more innovative ”.
The categories, all candidates, were:
- Open source software more innovative
- Open source software with the greatest impact on citizens or companies
- Ict Services For The most innovative shared (shared or developed in common)
- Shared Ict Services (shared or developed in common) with the greatest impact on citizens or companies
Prior to the judgement, the representatives of the pre-selected solutions had the opportunity to present its own solutions to the hearing.
The competition was launched on 29 november by the commissioner for the economy and sawed off Digital society, the deadline for submitting nominations on 12 march. The aims to highlight the it solutions more innovative shoots for public administrations (both open source software as a shared services).
