International Conference of open Open 2018: deadline for submission of proposals

Until 1 april, it will be open the deadline for submitting proposals for the meetings of the IODC 2018 to be held on 27 and 28 september in Buenos Aires.

On 27 and 28 september will be held in Buenos Aires the fifth edition of the International Conference open database (IODC) (Opens in new window) Under the slogan “ The Future is Open ”, IODC 2018 will bring together the community of open to explore the challenges faced by that community as well as to identify new trends on the open and innovative solutions capable of generating economic and social impact on the various sectors.

The organizers of IODC 2018 look to the global community of open access to cooperate in the establishment of the agenda of this conference, for what they have opened a deadline for the submission of proposals (Opens in new window) that will be available until 1 april. A committee composed of experts in open access information, including representatives of public and private organizations and academic institutions, will evaluate the requests received.

The proposals should be aimed at one of the following areas:

  • The Big Picture - and focused discussions on the exploration of emerging trends and challenges.
  • Action Track - meetings and workshops to encourage the exchange of information, interactive debates, brainstorms, round tables, and case studies, among others. The meetings should contribute to the areas of international cooperation (Opens in new window) identified in previous conferences.
  • Impact Track - short and dynamic Session in order to present concrete examples of the use of open data in different sectors.
