El informe realizado por la Comisión Sectorial TIC de la CRUE (Conferencia de Rectores de las Universidades Españolas) realiza un análisis global y minucioso de las TI desde todos los puntos de vista. Para ello, se lleva a cabo un inventario detallado de los elementos TI presentes en los campus, se aborda un análisis de las buenas prácticas en la gestión de las TI y se valora cómo se gobiernan las TI en nuestras universidades a partir de una visión estratégica.

Se encuentra disponible el informe UNIVERSITIC 2014, elaborado por la Comisión Sectorial de Tecnologías de la Información de la CRUE (Conferencia de Rectores de las Universidades Españolas). En su presentación, el presidente de la CRUE, destacó la vital importancia “de la contribución de las Tecnologías de la Información a las dos principales misiones de la universidad: la docencia y la investigación”.

El encargado de presentar este informe ha sido el Presidente de la Comisión Sectorial CRUE-TIC quien ha puesto de relieve la participación “63 universidades, que agrupan al 84% de los estudiantes del Sistema Universitario Español”.

To achieve the desired information is used a catalogue of indicators, comprising three types of different indicators: indicators of description of THEE; indicators of management of Thee, and the indicators of You.

Within the indicators of "Description" it is the Axis "3: Management processes where" addresses the issues related to electronic administration. The objectives have been analysed "Have computer applications for university management", "Expediting care using new technologies and Promote" "electronic administration". Some of the findings are significant aim:

  • 82 Per cent on a total of 51 university management processes proposed by UNIVERSITIC has a specific application.
  • Sobre el total de 20 elementos propios de la administración electrónica incluidos en el catálogo UNIVERSITIC, un 60% están implantados. La evolución de este indicador es positiva, experimentando un aumento del 5,9% en el último año. 
  • 48.4 Per cent of the administrative procedures (on a total of 7 procedures analysed) are available at headquarters. If we take into account the universities that have responded in 2013 and 2014, it checks as there is an increase of 15,36 per cent.

The data provided by the report are very important for universities since they can compare their situation with the rest and can learn from good practices undertaken in other universities, and the business network in the sector so that YOU first-hand understanding of the strengths, gaps and demands in thee of universities which enables them to go ahead and to bring its own solutions to these.

The future of education is clearly marked and influenced by YOU, the information provided by the report UNIVERSITIC allow all the spanish university system could improve and better able to meet in the near future, as a strategic and appropriate use of information technologies can offer a competitive advantage at spanish universities.
