The committee has been set up within the framework of decree no. 130/2012 of 24 august, which establishes the organization of information security de la Generalitat, with the objective of streamlining security spending and prevent the dysfunctions that resulted from the decentralised management by consellerias.
It also aims to reduce security incidents, which generate due to the vulnerabilities in information systems, such as the spread of viruses by e-mail or theft of information and passwords, among others.
